The story of KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC began with the idea of creating a premium vodka whose quality would be defined not by the complexity of its recipe, but by the exceptional quality of every component.
The creators chose to eliminate flavourings, taste additives and unnecessary ingredients. Only the essentials remained: organic rectified malt spirit of the “Alpha” grade and specially prepared water.
This became the guiding principle of KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC: Minimum ingredients — maximum standards for each one.
When a recipe contains only two ingredients, there is no way to conceal the quality of the raw materials or imperfections in the production process. That is why the journey of KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC begins long before the moment of bottling.
A Name Rooted in the History of Kazakhstan
The name KYZYLZHAR comes from the historical name of the city of Petropavlovsk — Kyzylzhar, which translates from Kazakh as “red cliff” or “red bank.”
The name reflects the product’s origins, its connection to Northern Kazakhstan and its respect for the region’s heritage. It is here, at the Petropavlovsk Vodka Plant, that the journey of every bottle of KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC is completed.
The brand brings together modern organic production, the plant’s long-standing traditions and the ambition to create a Kazakh product capable of representing the country with distinction on the international market.
The Journey Begins with Organic Grain
At the heart of KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC is organic malt spirit of the “Alpha” grade. It is produced at the Alfa Organic plant in Stepnogorsk — a specialised facility where traditional malting methods are combined with modern production control systems.
The spirit is made from organically grown grain. Its journey is fully traceable from the raw material to the finished spirit, with every stage of production subject to strict control.
Alfa Organic is certified under national and international organic certification schemes:
- Organic KZ;
- EU Organic, in accordance with EU Regulation 2018/848;
- USDA Organic, under the U.S. National Organic Program (NOP).
These certifications confirm compliance with organic production requirements, the traceability of raw materials and control over every stage of processing.
That is why the word ORGANIC in the name KYZYLZHAR is not simply a marketing claim — it is the certified foundation of the product.
Two Production Facilities — One Philosophy of Quality
Once production is complete, the organic malt spirit is transported from Stepnogorsk to the Petropavlovsk Vodka Plant.
This is where the next stage in the creation of KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC begins. The spirit is combined with specially prepared water that has undergone multi-stage treatment and laboratory testing. The Petropavlovsk Vodka Plant also holds organic processing certification, ensuring continuity of organic requirements throughout the journey from raw material to finished product.
Every batch undergoes comprehensive quality control, including ingredient testing, blend preparation, resting, evaluation of physical, chemical and organoleptic characteristics, bottling and final packaging inspection.
Rested for at Least Ten Days
Once the spirit and water have been combined, the vodka is not bottled immediately. The KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC blend is rested for at least ten days.
During this period, the spirit-and-water blend stabilises, allowing the flavour to become more balanced, smooth and harmonious. This resting period extends the production cycle, but ensures that the process is never rushed at the expense of quality.
Time may not appear on the list of ingredients, but it is one of the most important elements in the creation of KYZYLZHAR ORGANIC.
