On December 27, 2024, an event took place at the KMW distillery that forever changed the world whisky map. For the first time in the history of Kazakhstan and the entire Central Asian region, the first Kazakh single malt whisky was poured into oak casks.
This date is not just a line in the industry calendar. It marks the birth of a new tradition, crafted from select barley malt and natural water. The whisky will mature for exactly three years in carefully chosen oak casks, so that by 2026 it will become a drink with a rich taste and aroma worthy of the most discerning connoisseurs.
