The history of the Petropavlovsk Vodka Distillery begins in 1942, when a production facility was established in the North Kazakhstan region based on a spirits plant evacuated from Nizhny Novgorod. Over decades of operation, the plant has undergone modernization and today is one of Kazakhstan’s leading enterprises in the production of alcoholic beverages.

History
- Early 20th century — a distillery in Nizhny Novgorod.
- October Revolution — the formation of the “Gorky Spirit Rectification Plant.”
- The Great Patriotic War — evacuation to Petropavlovsk, production of spirit for the front (“the front-line hundred grams”).
- 1956 — launch of vodka production at a new location.
- Rebranding and export growth (Russia, Estonia, Poland, Mongolia, etc.).
- Decision to build a new automated plant to increase capacity and meet global standards.
Production and technologies
Water treatment and filtration
- Unique technology for the preparation of rectified water: Na-cation filters, quartz sand, BAU-LV activated carbon, and reverse osmosis.
- Dynamic bottom-up filtration of the mixture through a charcoal purification battery (16 charcoal columns and 32 sand filters) using a gravity-flow method without pumps.
- Final structuring of the water to classical music (Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky).
Blending
- Strict adherence to approved recipes.
- Use of natural ingredients: infusions of grains, northern berries, herbs, roots, and honey.
- Resting the blends to harmonize the taste: from 7 days (economy segment) to 60–100 days (premium).
Production fundamentals
- Raw materials: “Alpha” and “Lux” grain alcohol (Alfa Organic, Kentavr), pure water, natural additives.
- Filtration: Gravity flow through birch charcoal and quartz sand.
- Blending: Natural infusions and proprietary recipes.
- Resting period: Up to 100 days for premium varieties.
