ORIGINS: HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The company’s history began in 1991 when a group of hydrogeologists discovered the first mineral water deposit in the vicinity of Kokshetau. At that time, the country faced a severe shortage of quality drinking water, and the discovery of an environmentally clean source was a significant event.
This is how the company’s mission was formed: to provide the people of Kazakhstan with healthy natural water from an environmentally clean region. This philosophy remains unchanged to this day.
The company was registered on May 22, 1991, in the city of Kokshetau. It was then that the development of the first mineral water deposit, Kulager-Arasan, began. Its waters are still considered some of the best in Kazakhstan and Central Asia to this day.
From the very beginning, the company focused on producing natural water without artificial mineralization, preserving its natural composition and benefits.
SOURCES: NATURAL TREASURES
Currently, KMW has three active deposits, each with unique characteristics:
BURABAY NATURAL MINERAL WATER 1991 is a medicinal-table mineral water with a high content of beneficial microelements.
Kenetkol is a source of natural mineral water with a physiologically balanced composition.
Kuskol is the birthplace of the famous TURAN water, a “light water” unique for its low deuterium content. Such waters are extremely rare globally (fewer than 5 analogues on the entire planet).
Modern Production
The plant has undergone a complete technical modernization. Today, it is a highly automated production cluster equipped with machinery from leading global manufacturers: Krones, Sidel, KHS, as well as Husky equipment for the in-house production of PET bottle preforms.
The production capacity for non-alcoholic beverages allows for the production of over 70,000 bottles per hour in volumes of 0.25 liters, 0.5 liters, 1 liter, 1.5 liters, 5 liters, and 19 liters, with the total production volume reaching hundreds of millions of liters per year. All products undergo multi-stage filtration, while the water retains its natural structure and balance.
The alcohol production facility is also equipped with automated machinery from leading global manufacturers such as Sidel, Krones, and FBT, allowing for the production of up to 30,000 bottles per hour of high-quality spirits in various formats.
Quality control
The company has its own accredited laboratory that daily controls all stages of production. Additionally, the water is tested by independent certification bodies to ensure compliance with international quality standards.
Special attention is paid to environmental safety: we use microbiological filtration technologies from Pall (Germany), and our plastic packaging is made from high-quality virgin raw materials.
Strategy and development
Since the 2010s, the plant has been part of the GLOBAL BEVERAGES group of companies, which has provided access to investments, international technologies, and new markets. This has allowed the brands TURAN, XAOMA, and KHAN SAYAT to become national leaders and to create a number of unique innovative solutions in packaging and logistics.
Social role
The plant is a city-forming enterprise in the region. Over 300 people are provided with stable employment. The company regularly participates in environmental, sports, and social projects. Over the years, the company has been awarded dozens of national and international awards for quality, innovation, and its contribution to the development of the industry.
“Kokshetau Mineral Waters” is a combination of science and nature, tradition and innovation, local identity and international standards. The company’s products are known to every Kazakhstani, and the plant itself has become a symbol of sustainable development and high quality.
